In Northwest Florida, the cheapest golf courses are Sandestin Baytowne and Sandestin Links located in Destin, Florida. If you visit Sandestin Baytowne or Sandestin Links in January and February, you will find rates at $79.00. Sandestin Baytowne offers a front nine with views of the Choctawhatchee Baby while the back nine gives you a glimpse of the Gulf of Mexico. The front nine is a 3,300-yard pine tree lined with challenging elevation changes. The Links at Sandestin offers many spectacular views with challenging greens. This course was rated as one of the Top Five Courses in Northwest Florida.
The Legends Course at LPGA International in northeast Florida at Daytona may be one of the cheapest golf courses in Florida. The course was built in 1998 with the unique design of Arthur Hills. The fairway grass is Bermuda, the green is rye, and during the winter, you will see a change to Bent on the greens. The price for this course varies, as does the season. From May until September, the price before 2pm is $49.00 after 2pm the cost is $35.00. From October until January, the price before 1pm is $65 while after 1pm the price is $45. From May until September the price is also reasonable at $59 before 2pm and $50 after 2pm.
The LPGA International Champions also in Daytona have prices that are pretty close to the golf course above. This course offers five sets of tee markers with a par 72. The yards vary from 5,131 to 7,088 and offer large greens, sparse trees, and rolling mounds. However, you need to watch out for the marsh areas and the water hazards.
The Clay at USF in Tampa has cheap prices from September to April with costs at $45 all day on Monday through Friday and prices on Saturday and Sunday at $55. You are sure to enjoy the feel of the south with the moss draped oaks and the tall pine trees.
Highlands South – Westin Innisbrook in Palm Harbor is almost 6,800 yards and features the longest par 5 in the entire state of Florida. To find cheap rates for this course you must visit from May to September where you will find prices at $59 all day every day of the week. However, during peak season you will pay up to $120.
Another great course that must be on this list is the PGA Golf Club Ryder course north in Port St. Lucie. The course was designed by Tom Fazio in 1996, which has received many honors for being one of the most affordable golf courses in Florida. Prices from May until October are $60 before 3pm and $35 after 3pm, from October to December $100 before 2pm and $45 after 2pm, December to January $100 before 2pm and $75 after 2pm, and from January to March $135 before 2pm and $75 after 2pm.
