When it comes to deciding which awesome golf course you wish to play during your next getaway in Florida, you will have to figure out what you are looking for your game play. You can find challenging courses with views of the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, or even the everglades. All courses are designed to give you an exciting golf game with all kinds of challenges; however, there are many things to consider when you are searching for the golf course to fit your style of playing.
If you do not mind windy conditions with the thrill of the ocean or gulf close by then you will want to find a golf course on or near the beach or shoreline. Of course, you will meet a challenge as you not only have to deal with the wind but the other hazards that dot the course such as water hazards, cliffs overlooking the ocean, bunkers, and trees.
If you do not drive long off the tee, then you more than likely wish to find a golf course with shorter fairways. Some courses do offer various tees to allow for those that do not do well with long drives.

When you are planning your golf vacation, you should research the weather in the area. This can be a major decision if you wish to play golf. It is not advisable to plan a golf vacation during the rainy season in Florida. Then you may find that you are spending more time in your hotel room than out on the course.
Peak season will bring higher prices. Learn when the courses offer specials if you really want a great deal on hotel accommodations along with rates for the course. You may find that you can enjoy a much longer vacation with more golfing if you choose to go during slower tourist’s time.
If you wish to enjoy other activities while you are on vacation, then you may wish to find a golf course close by other attractions that you and your family or buddies will enjoy. This can be several things when you are talking about Florida from fishing to scuba diving, from visiting museums to enjoying cuisine. |
